DVA readings rose to 310 up to 2800 RPMs and then dropped to 280 at 400 RPMs.  Call the CDI toll -free help line and a very nice guy with southern accent recommended a new Stator.  Placed an order with outboard ignition for a new CDI stator with three year warranty. Should be here in two days. 

Decided to take stator if spare motor and install on boat. 

Turns out a washer was stuck under flywheel and damaged the coils.
