What type of boats are you racing against and the ratings?
Do you have a good runner? With the T10’s we hope it is dead down, on a reach they start to catch up to the S27. Light to medium air is our best stuff.
Mark you can always remove your engine, drop 250# like Victorine did! By the way his handicap was 138 as well. Interesting? He said he attempted contact PHRF but they did not respond. So how do I know this? He listed his boat for sale on CL.
Hey Mark,
I’ve been out of touch on your site for a while, but glad to see you are still racing well. On Rumor, we just got our first set of new sails. We were going okay, until I softened the rig tension a little in June. I now have speed on the national champion Frers 33, which rates 108. Our spinnaker is a little oversized at 185%, which gives a much better shape to keep full over the other 2 spins that came with the boat. I love the sail, and it flies much better than the ones that came with the boat. My 131 rating (Outboard -6 sec) has only been in the way last week, when I was 5 minutes in front of the fleet, and hit my own personal wind hole, correcting into 3rd by 7 seconds.

That’s an idea. However, my engine is still going strong.
